first off, "Well, aint that just kick-ya-in-th-crotch, spit-on-your-neck fantastic?!" Is from a movie (or maybe TV)...I don't recall where, but it is. Bonus points if you can name the source.
secondly, night off was AWESOME! I did get a wax after work (yeah, i can't seem to manage an entire night of nothingness). then i came home and made dinner - baked tilapia with rice and veggies. (while the fish baked, i did the dishes...again, i apparently NEED to do something.) i mixed the rice with mushrooms and peas and italian dressing. it was a delicious and nutritious meal. score! i planted myself on the couch to watch Goodfellas. i recently finished reading "Wiseguy" by Nicholas Pileggi, which is the true story of Henry Hill, and is the basis for Goodfellas. I love mobster history, so reading the book and comparing it to the movie was fun for me. The movie is only based on the true story, a few details were obviously changed, like the characters names, but mostly the storyline followed the book (with less detail). It was a great night hanging on the couch. ah, nice to have a night off for a change.
tonight: dinner with the fam for my dad's birthday (my parents are back from florida for 3 days...and not happy about the huge temperature difference).
thursday: i'm getting a pedicure (boys you may not understand just how fabulous this is!). i'll have to finish my packing, etc on thursday as well. and hopefully hang out with my girls for a while.
friday: will be busy enough.
saturday: YAY VACATION! leaving for the airport at 4:15 AM...wow, that's early.
