baking tip of the day:
if you want to make cakes, cookies, or brownies a little bit healthier for you, replace the oil or butter with applesauce.
1 cup of applesauce = 1 cup of oil/butter
i made some very delicious chocolate chip cookies over the weekend, using applesauce instead of butter. they are way better for me (so much less fat), and they are super soft and moist (just how i like my cookies). if you prefer crisp, hard cookies (like my dad), then you need to stick with using butter, sorry.
