#100

Hi Kids...this is my 100th post!

The original post title was going to be "SMRT" but I had to announce the 100th post.

SMRT
i am generally not the best source of information regarding anything political. pretty much, i'm an idiot savant when it comes to politics. with all the chatter and news coverage surrounding the caucuses and primary elections going on, i'm intrigued. i figure that i should really get to work on who my candidate of choice is going to be.
(and trust me, researching political candidates is no easy feat for me!) basically, i don't believe in voting for a party and i need to weigh several issues to determine which candidate is best. there are certain issues that are absolutely deal-breakers for me. i refuse to support candidates that are for or against specific issues, the number one issue in this category is stem cell research. where a candidate stands on stem cell research (embryonic or other) is very, very important to me. i have found a couple of different websites that compare the candidates. i was wondering if anyone has suggestions on reliable information. i would like to narrow down my candidate choices before i start sifting through their individual websites (and i think i already have, but want to be sure i'm not overlooking anyone). your assistance in my political-knowledge seeking is much appreciated.

HAPPY 100th POST!

So does that mean you are for or againts stem cell research?

I always have the same issue of not being able to fine good info. I have used the mpr website before. I'm not sure how good it is, but they have quizes that ask info on lots of topics and points you in the direction of candidates that have opinions you agree with.

Ditto on the happy 100. There was a quick comparison on CNN.com a few weeks ago. I'm not sure if it's still up. (surfing) Ok, it is: http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/issues/issues.stemcell.html
